Founded in 2013 by the skilled tailor Harun Karakurt, Esclot London is rewriting the fashion narrative with a belief that life is too short to wear boring.
Harun’s journey began in a family tailoring business in Southern Turkey, where he learned the art of traditional tailoring from a young age. His passion brought him to London two decades ago, where he honed his skills on the prestigious Savile Row for over a decade.
Focused initially on bespoke tailoring and alterations, Esclot later expanded to Lime Street, becoming the City’s go-to destination for tailored suits and garments. Demand grew among private clients and corporate customers alike, prompting the launch of our ready-to-wear collections.
Harun spared no effort in sourcing the finest fabrics from the UK and blending traditional tailoring knowledge with manufacturing contacts in Istanbul to create exquisite made-to-measure and ready-to-wear collections.
In November 2020, the brand secured a prime location on New Bond Street, poised to offer top-notch tailoring and upmarket ready-to-wear collections. COVID-19 temporarily halted our progress, but we used that time to introduce “GetTailored”. A door-to-door tailoring service which allowed our expert tailoring team to maintain a service for our clients. We also ventured into producing high-quality PPE made from luxury fabrics.
Recognising shifts in the menswear market due to remote work and travel restrictions, we launched a casualwear and sportswear line in the summer of 2022, sourced and designed in-house, with production in Istanbul, Italy and Portugal.
Our in-house tailoring team, capable of creating custom pieces anywhere, is a big draw for our clients. We also know that our international production links, ensure both quality and affordability for our clients. And we know that our brand is becoming better known.
As a result, we are very fortunate to have a distinguished clientele and some incredible ambassadors including Lionel Richie, Benedict Cumberbatch, and The Money Maker’s Eric Collins. We are also very proud to partner with the likes of Charles Tyrwhitt, Paul Smith, and Hugo Boss. These clients and partners are a hugely important part of the Esclot family.
Our vision moving forward is clear: life is too short to wear boring. So, we will continually strive to give our incredible clients the style they need and the service they deserve.

Harun
Creative Director & Master Tailor
Harun first discovered his passion for tailoring when he was 12 years old in his homeland of Turkey. His passion for the industry continued as he moved to London in 1998, where he kick-started his dynamic career working on Saville Row where he remained for 10 years.
He founded his first flagship store in Lime Street, London, in 2013. Followed by Bond Street in 2019.
With his team of handpicked tailors, Harun believes in using traditional methods to create and craft each bespoke product, often made on site.
His Made to Measure and Ready to Wear collections are renowned and purchased internationally, his unique bespoke methods are respected by the best British and Italian cloth makers in the tailoring industry, such as Scabal, Holland & Sherry, Dormeuil and Ermenegildo Zegna.
Harun is available by appointment only at our Lime Street or Bond Street store, but his team of over ten tailors are available without an appointment, during our opening hours.
Wasim
Bespoke Specialist
Wasim has over 30 years’ experience in tailoring, with twenty-five of those years based on Saville Row and has been our Bespoke and Made to Measure specialist for over 5 years. He is available by appointment at both our Bond Street and Lime Street stores or at your home or office via our GetTailored service.
AIMAL
BESPOKE SPECIALIST
Aimal’s passion for fashion and design led him to pursue a career in Men’s Tailoring. If you ask Aimal what makes a great suit, he will tell you the quality of the fabric and the fit of the suit. He loves assisting clients by recommending a range of styles, fabric and cut for whichever the occasion suits.
TASH
Brand Buyer & Tailor
Tash joined the team originally as visual merchandiser, with a love of design and fashion. Tash is also our brand buyer and spends most of his time between Bond Street and Europe.
MERAL
Tailor
Originally from Turkey, Meral joined the tailoring team three years ago, and collaborates with our clients as well as our tailoring desk in our Atelier. She is our alterations specialist as well as our fabric and pattern cutter. Meral prefers to use traditional tailoring methods that we pride ourselves on at Esclot London
